讲座题目：Some mathematical theories on Vlasov-Maxwell-Boltzmann system in perturbative framework

内容概述：It is well known that the Boltzmann equation is closely related to the classical systems of fluid dynamics, such as Euler and Navier-Stokes equations, that can be derived in vanishing Knudsen limit either by Hilbert expansion or Chapman-Enskog expansion. In this talk, we will present some understanding on the Vlasov-Maxwell-Boltzmann system in the perturbative framework through spectrum analysis by focusing on the spectrum approach for the study on diffusion limit. The talk is based on some work with Hailiang Li and Mingying Zhong.

主讲人简介：杨彤教授现任香港理工大学应用数学系讲座教授。他于1987年和1990年在中山大学获得学士和硕士学位，1993年博士毕业于美国加州大学戴维斯分校。杨教授1994任職香港城市大学並於2022年加盟香港理工大学。他的研究领域是偏微分方程和动理学理论。杨教授于2018年和2021年分别当选为欧洲科学院（European Academy of Sciences）外藉院士和发展中国家科学院（也称世界科学院）院士，于2021当选香港科学院院士，并于2022年当选欧洲人文和自然科学院（Academia Europaea）外藉院士。他获得的科技奖励包括香港研资局高级研究学者奖（2020年）、国家自然科学奖二等奖（2012年）、香港裘槎基金会高级研究成就奖（2011年）、国家杰出青年科学基金海外与港澳青年学者合作基金（2004年）、首届华人数学家大会晨兴数学奖银奖（1998年）等。
