报告内容：Special functions and asymptotic analysis is one of the major methods in applied mathematics. In this talk, we shall briefly review several applications in analysis, numerical methods and quantitative finance. In the second part, we shall mention some open problems in this area.

李玉田毕业于香港城市大学。他的研究领域包括渐近分析、偏微分方程和计算数学，最近五年在 Anal. Appl., Appl. Math. Letters, Constr. Approx., Commun. Comput.Phys., IEEE Trans. Trans. Microw Theory Tech., J. Comput. Phys. Optics Express, Proc. Royal. Soc. London A, SIAM J. Scientific Comput., Stud. Appl.
