报告内容：Asymptotic analysis of difference equations dated back in 1910s-1930s when Birkhoff and other top mathematicians tried to develop similar theory as that of Poincare on differential equations. In this talk, we will review some historical works, present recent advances, and propose open problems in this research topic.

报告人简历：

汪翔升毕业于香港城市大学和中国科学技术大学联合高等研究中心。研究领域包括渐近分析和生物数学，最近五年在Adv. Math., Anal. Appl., Anal. Chem., J.Differential Equations, J. Dynam. Differential Equations, Proc. Amer. Math.Soc., SIAM J. Control Optim., Statist. Sinica, Stud. Appl. Math.等杂志上发表论文近30篇。他是路易斯安那大学拉法叶分校数学专业博士研究生的招生负责人。
